The Greatest Game Ever Played is based on true story that changed the history of golf forever. It is about how Francis Ouimet (pronounced Wee-Met) became a legend in the game of golf. Played by Shia LaBeouf, Francis Ouimet is born in 1893 to a working-class family in Massachusetts, USA. He becomes fascinated in golf as he grows up because his family is near the Brookline Country Club, a venue for the upper class to relax and to play golf. Ouimet becomes a caddy in this country club. yeah guys, i know... i've seen this movie twice last year.. i rented this movie at Video City coz i heard about it from some of my friends.. i still love this movie and i want to watch it again :)

Golf is not a game of chance. It requires skill! you need to know the terrain of the course, the wind direction, how much energy to put in a swing, and the angle of your stroke. It's amazing how professionals calculate all these in just minutes!
sporty girl, i think you're referring to a put-put (mini golf). The obstacles that include putting your ball into a tube, which leads to three exits chutes are annoying. That's a game of chance. You won't know where your ball will land.
i played that put-put game before and really annoyed me. grrr. ever since then i was never interested in golf. so, i amused it was stupid and a game of chance. sorry.
sean, thanks for all those info. but another thing that i don't like about golf is that it eats up a lot of land space. i mean, you could have just given that land to the poor and they could live there.

curios, i use to play golf but i stopped because the equipments are becoming more expensive and unpractical. to all you other peeps out there, it is not as boring as you think. its quite fun!

golf is not for boring people. it's a test of patience and accuracy. if you don't like golf then you're not a patient person. sometimes, winning takes a lot of time and that's why people love golf
shia is really a good actor. i like him better in comedies. his role in tranformers is a bit comedic. i don't like him acting in serious movies like his movie, i forgot the title but something related to paranoia
