Have you ever stopped to think about how much your friends mean to you? Or experienced a time when you wished you had a friend around to share a happy moment or a sad one? Have you ever noticed that time passes a lot faster with good company?In my life there never comes a day when I don't need someone to talk to or share a human interaction with. That's just how we all function. An experience is only comprehendible by living, breathing beings. We are the only creatures that can think and reason out what we do, how we think, and what we experience. Out of all the creations God has made, we human beings have the power to retain memories, experiences and the ability to speak, learn and interact. We can create, we can discover and we can put real meaning to the words "live and learn". But we cannot do any of these things if we exist alone. Humans interact, to develop, to learn and to experience life and live it.
Some people believe that they can exist alone, that they don't need anyone to exist. That they don't need friends or other people to make it in the world. But that isn't true. Everyone needs someone. We all need to interact. Imagine living alone and recording all your thoughts in a book. Try holding a conversation with yourself for a week without talking to anyone and just writing, typing or taping it. You'll go insane! It's not the same because you need someone else to give you a reply, an opinion, an idea to provoke thought, learning, understanding. All these are what really brings meaning into the experience of living. Even the strongest people need other people in their lives, otherwise what is there to be strong for? Friends are people who have your best interest at heart, loving family, brothers, sisters, classmates, people you grew up with, traveled with, laughed and cried with. All the people around you are there for a reason so don't cut them off. You'll just end up hurting yourself. I'm saying that out of experience.
So in other words, everyone needs a friend. Nobody can go through life alone. So reach out, talk to some one, and communicate. Appreciate your friends and do everything you can to keep them. Never take them for granted because it’s the friends you make in life that make it worth living. Cherish every moment.

and uhhh let me say that I treasure friends way too much even the ones who don't seem to care. I hate it when friends come and go....and as if we've never met and shared moments...

well i think its not everytime u need someone by your side to interact with u. dont u wish sometimes u were alone. when alone u can do some deep thinking and reflect on ur actions or future things that u want to do.

i know what you mean chat...what you said about friends leaving shouldn't have come in the first place...it's just wishful thinking...kasi nga masakit for us when they leave and then you treasure them so much..knowing that when they leave, they value your friendship less than you do.

wow dang don't say that, it's hard to part with friends but they'll always be there. i just had to part with a good frind, he went back to new york yesterday. I'll really miss him but he'll be back in devember for a visit. there's always e-mail, facbook and phone calls to look forward to...never good bye so chin up, ;p

everyone wants a friend who can make sacrifices for them and thinks for them..but how many of us can do it? perhaps in e past, people are simpler and do not have that much to their name, so they can forgo everything. but in the current time we are living in, there are many things we need and want to do, so much so that we do not have time to do other things.
^ so many things we want to do that we need HElp from friends so we can cope with all that.

everyone needs to interact...you can't live alone, imagine if it was only you...where would you get all your food? who would you talk to other than the sky, rocks or yourself? you need people to live dude...
i think what he means is that of course you cant avoid some interaction now and then. but if it permits, he would rather do things on his own. maybe its due to being too independent?

I agree. Friends are important.. Some of them leave.. Some of them stay... Painful as it is, it is a fact of life. And no matter what we need them.
If you have no friends people will think somethings wrong with you. And if there's nothing wrong with you, in time you will go insane.
As the saying goes, "No man is an island." Besides, everyone needs friends. But we have to be smart in choosing who we let close to our hearts :)
